Internet Connection In Residence

In your residence room, you will require a network card and cable (as below) to connect to the internet.

• a network card (RJ45)
• a network cable (10 feet or so)
• your original Windows CD, if available (to get drivers etc.)
• Windows 98 / NT / 2000 / XP / Vista or Mac OS X and up

 
What will the network connection get you?

• Access to the Internet via a web browser, you can surf the web!
• Access to your Royal Roads e-mail via WebMail:
  • Go to:  http://webmail.royalroads.ca
  • Enter your username and password when prompted
• Access to your RRU e-mail via a POP client as described in our e-mail configuration tips.
• Access to your RRU files via FTP:
